Post-consumer recycled-content paper products are used, materials are reused or recycled, and reusable fabric diapers help further reduce landfill impact.  Purchasing decisions prioritize recyclable packaging and vendors with environmentally responsible practices.

Nutrition is another cornerstone of Kras Family Child Care’s commitment to health and sustainability. Children are served 100% organic, vegetarian meals that introduce a variety of foods while reducing exposure to chemicals.

Transportation choices also reflect this commitment: rather than maintaining a vehicle, the program uses public transportation for field trips and outings. These experiences not only reduce pollution but also help children learn experience how to navigate around their community without a car.
